*DVD LENGTHS, a maximum of 2 hours of video footage can be stored on a single layer disc, with a dual layer disc this length can be over 3 hours.
But the compatibility of dual layer disc working on all machines goes down.
There is only about a 96% compatibility of recorded DVD (single layer) working on all DVD players.
The recorded DVD have chapters on them spaced at approx. 5-10min intervals.
DATA FILES for use of playing or editing on a computer.
Please note that some files may be very large and burnt on a DVD-/+R disc.
Files you can have include Mpeg, Mpeg2, etc. Higher the quality, larger the file.
CINE-FILM, upto 3200ft of cine film can be transferred to one four hour video tape.
To enable you to view the tape in the correct order, all reels should be clearly numbered.
No responsibility can be accepted for wrongly or not numbered reels. An extra charge may be made for badly damaged films.
SLIDES, (slide show) each slide can be viewed for approximately twelve seconds and upto 960 slides can be transferred onto a four hour VHS tape.
Video is a different format to slide and the majority are landscape (oblong), portrait (upright) slides will be slightly cropped on the top and bottom.
To view the pictures in the correct order all slides should be clearly numbered. All slides not numbered will be transferred on a ‘as they come’ basis.
Please make sure that all your slides are clean, as we DO NOT offer a cleaning service for your slides.
Jpeg files are roughly at the 1600x2400 size.
VIDEO TAPES can be duplicated by us if they have been taken on a home video camera.
Commercial pre-recorded tapes and all TV programmes are protected by Copyright.
As Copyright Law is international, written permission from the Copyright owner will be required to make such copies.
The UK TV system is PAL and we can convert to and from all worldwide VHS systems.
STILL PRINTS from video, please set your video at the desired point, and note the time counter number.
Also a short description of picture details, is required.
Note;- The overall quality will depend on the quality of your original. Also quality will be lost the larger the picture is enlarged.
TITLES, Film/Slides only are transferred with 2 titles as standard, one at the start of the video ‘MEMORIES’, and one at the end of the video ‘THE END’. Or if you prefer, no titles will be added, just let us know.
BACKGROUND MUSIC, can be added to the copy, of background, non copyright music.
NOTE:
DVD; The finalised disc is not guaranteed to play in all players (96%). And will be region 0 PAL format.
CD-Rom; Only about 60mins of video will fit onto a disc, depending on file size.
Postal; We will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to parcels, due to postal services.
