Avon Audio Visual set-up business as of June 1985, in the city centre of Bath, and had been operating for over 20 years in that location, before moving to our current premises in Larkhall, selling and hiring audio visual equipment for conferences and hotel meetings.And as a sideline offered a service of copying video and cine-film, which grew to be the largest part of our business today. Even transferring a home movie to Mpeg4 for a customer to upload to YouTube.
We have a background knowledge in films, as we operated and ran a private cinema for a hotel, both 16mm and 35mm for over 35 years.
Since then the business has moved into buying and selling second-hand cine equipment and accessories, and slide projectors.
Also we expanded into second-hand (retro) games consoles, (games and machines). Anything from the Spectrum (old home computers) upto the more recent, like the XBOX.
We also stock a wide range of new audio visual accessories, such as leads, connectors and adaptors, plus blank media such as video or audio cassettes, DVDs & CDs etc. Which initially started out as selling the things that we needed to use ourselves, and then we expanded on the stock we sold from there, catering for the needs of our customers.
